Beats on the Bank 2024: A Celebration of Local Talent and Community Spirit

December 13, 2024, was a night to remember at Taree Universities Campus, as our Beats on the Bank 2024 music festival brought the community together in a vibrant celebration of local talent. The event marked a wonderful close to the year, filled with heartfelt performances, delicious food, and the unmistakable energy of connection and joy.

Our Level 2 Event Space was alive with music from a stellar line-up of homegrown artists, including:

  • Jack the Bread Guy Trio

  • Patrick Hayes

  • Tlarmon Music

  • BRix

  • Chloe Hicks

  • Dominic Dematos

  • Velvet Wave

  • Chatham High School

  • Milly Read

  • Temptress

It wasn’t just about the music! With tickets priced at just $5 and a free festival feed on offer, the event truly reflected our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. From the laughter over shared meals to the enthusiastic cheers for every performer, it was clear that the heart of Beats on the Bank lay in the connections it fostered.

For many of the 12 to 24-year-olds in attendance, this was more than just a Friday night out—it was a chance to feel a part of something bigger, to see the talent thriving right here at home, and to realise the vibrant potential of staying local while chasing dreams.

A special thank you goes to our co-sponsors, headspace Taree and MidCoast Council, whose generous support and shared commitment to fostering youth engagement and community well-being helped make this event possible.

Thank you to everyone who came along, to the amazing performers who poured their hearts into their sets, and to the team of organisers and volunteers who made the night such a resounding success. You reminded us of what makes the MidCoast community so special: our shared passion, our support for one another, and our belief in the power of possibilities.

Here’s to many more events that inspire and uplift our community. Together, we’re creating a space where aspirations thrive, and local talent shines.
