Another Resounding Success For CareerQuip

CareerQuip 2024, the largest careers expo on the Mid Coast NSW, was held on the banks of the Manning River and Taree Universities Campus’s new long-term home. Another remarkable success, local high school students (some in attendance from as far as Kempsey, Port Macquarie, and Bulahdelah) gathered to explore study and career opportunities, with an estimated 1800 students attending the event.

Over seventy exhibitors, including universities, TAFE, government services, and local employers, provided valuable insights and guidance. The enthusiasm of the students, eager to learn about different career pathways, made for an incredibly engaging day. Exhibitors such as the Manning Great Lakes Police team, Manning Base Hospital, and many of the Universities reported a very positive turnout, highlighting the event's success.

Making the event possible were key sponsors:

  • Mid Coast Connect

  • TAFE NSW

  • Regional Industry Education Partnerships

We also enjoyed generous support from:

  • Max FM

  • JR Richards

  • Insure More@

  • Men and Women at Work

  • As well as all our participating exhibitors

CareerQuip showcased diverse career opportunities and emphasised the importance of community collaboration in supporting our youth. By providing a platform for students to interact directly with industry professionals, the event reinforced TUC’s commitment to fostering educational and career aspirations within the MidCoast community.

Looking back on this impactful event, we are inspired by the potential and ambition displayed by our young attendees. Their journey toward achieving their career goals is just beginning, and TUC is proud to be a part of their story.
