University of New England Sponsor CareerQuip 2025
Taree Universities Campus (TUC) is proud to announce the University of New England (UNE) as a Major Sponsor for CareerQuip 2025, reinforcing a long-standing partnership and shared commitment to creating meaningful education and employment pathways for MidCoast locals.
As a founding University Partner of TUC, UNE has played an integral role in supporting local students to pursue higher education close to home. This new sponsorship marks an exciting evolution in the relationship—one that further strengthens the connection between university study and local career opportunities.
CareerQuip has grown into a flagship event in the region’s calendar, drawing on average over 1,800 registered attendees and more than 70 exhibitors annually. Designed to inspire high school students and early career-seekers, the event offers a vibrant, hands-on introduction to the wide range of careers, training, and further education options available locally. In recognition of its impact, the event received a 2024 Australian Rural Education Award from SPERA – the Society for the Provision of Education in Rural Australia.
“We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome UNE as a Major Sponsor,” said Donna Ballard, CEO of Taree Universities Campus. “CareerQuip isn’t just a careers expo—it’s a stage for young people and locals looking for a career change to imagine what’s possible without needing to leave their community. UNE’s support helps us deliver on that promise in a bigger and bolder way.”
The founding Sponsors of CareerQuip that continue to provide financial support and guidance year on year are TAFE, MidCoast Connect, Regional Industry Education Partnerships (RIEP) program, and Taree Universities Campus.
“UNE has a long history in Taree and the MidCoast, supporting university students, high school students and the community through both our Centre and together with TUC. We are pleased to partner with TUC and the founding sponsors for the 2025 CareerQuip.” said Sue-Ellen Hogan, Directors of Campuses at UNE. “Events like CareerQuip ensure that access to information about education, training and employment opportunities are available to the whole community. Knowing what opportunities exist in your local community opens up so many doors and helps you plan for the future that you want.”
CareerQuip 2025 will take place on Thursday, 31 July 2025. Local organisations interested in exhibiting are encouraged to register their interest via careerquip.com.au.
