Taree Universities Campus Elects New Chair
Taree Universities Campus (TUC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Paulson as the new Chair of the TUC Board, following the leadership of outgoing Chair Dr Alison McIntosh. In addition, TUC is excited to welcome Michael Roohan, who recently joined the Board and has taken on the role of Treasurer.
Reflecting on her tenure, Alison expressed her confidence in the future of TUC under Anthony’s leadership. “It’s with sincere delight and gratitude that I welcome Anthony to the position of Chair. Since joining the Board in the latter part of 2023, he has demonstrated enthusiasm for TUC’s vision with his clear thinking and ability for seeing strategic opportunity. All staff, students, and other stakeholders will benefit from his corporate experience, his wide network of connections, and his understanding of our strengths and challenges,” Dr McIntosh stated.
Taree Universities Campus, CEO, Donna Ballard acknowledges, “Alison McIntosh, has been the Chair of TUC since its inception in 2020, and has played a pivotal role in establishing TUC as a cornerstone of education and employment in the Mid Coast community. Under her guidance, TUC has successfully created a long-term home at 2 Pulteney Street, a location that has become synonymous with learning and opportunity in the region. We are grateful that Alison remains as a Board member to continue to provide her knowledge and experience to TUC.”
In addition to Anthony’s appointment, TUC is delighted to introduce Michael Roohan as the new Treasurer. Michael brings a wealth of financial expertise and a strong commitment to TUC’s values. His role as Treasurer will be instrumental in supporting TUC’s financial sustainability and growth, ensuring that the organisation can continue to serve the community effectively.
The transition in leadership has been met with unanimous backing from the Board, who are eager to support TUC’s achievements in the coming years. TUC remains committed to its mission of enhancing learning and employment opportunities which continue to contribute to the vibrancy of the Mid Coast community.
