EduVenture – Year 9 TAFE Campus Tour days!

Great Lakes College (Tuncurry), Chatham, Wingham and Gloucester High Schools enjoyed a day out at Taree TAFE this Term with TUC. Students were lucky enough to see TAFE in action, learn about the huge variety of courses on offer and to hear a bit more about opportunities such as the YES program and SBAT programs.

Students spoke to the head teachers and visited the following areas: nursing, children’s service, auto, engineering, community services, retail, business and technology, animal studies, equine, horticulture, agribusiness, hair and beauty, CPALES.

Some of the feedback from the students about things they learnt:

“TAFE is much bigger than I thought”
“There are so many opportunities that we could choose from”
“I didn’t know you could study business and learn about technology like gaming at TAFE”
“That Taree TAFE has a massive farm”
