Taree Universities Campus and UNE - expansion of support for Bachelor of Education degrees
Taree Universities Campus and University of New England have announced more support and more choices for local students studying Bachelors of Education.
Taree Universities Campus are pleased to introduce Gemma Death, recently appointed as Education Student Support Officer for TUC students. Gemma has worked as a deputy principal where some of her roles included teacher education, mentoring beginning teachers and instructional leadership.
TUC Campus Coordinator, Marlo Slavin says, “Gemma will play a key role in developing a community of learning and development for the TUC Education students by providing discipline specific support, both face to face, and in flexible delivery group sessions.”
This support may include guided study skill sessions, pastoral support, and there will also be availability for students to make a one-on-one appointment with Gemma.
Gemma’s appointment aligns with the University of New England expansion of the Bachelors of Education offered through their partnership with Taree Universities Campus.
Ms Slavin says, “UNE offers a great range of degrees in education and training, including Special Education, Early Childhood and K-12, as well as secondary specialties such as Science, Maths and Music.”
UNE Teaching courses commence for part-time students from Trimester 3 on Monday 25 October, allowing interested students to start their degrees online this year, and receive specific support on their study journey from Taree Universities Campus.
